Town of Swanzey, NH
Covered Bridge Capital of New Hampshire

West Swanzey AA Memorial Park

The West Swanzey Athletic Association building was once the Redman's Hall,  home of Perham's Store, Gomarlo's Store, and the Scarlet Marauders Hall.  In later years when the Athletic Association owned the building it housed drum corps, bingo and pool.

In 2013 after a series of public hearings and with enthusiastic support from the public and Town boards and committees, the Board of Selectmen voted to purchase the property with the intent to demolish the building and create a river-front park. The park is located at 53 Main Street and adjacent to the Thompson Covered Bridge and has over 200 feet of frontage on the Ashuelot River.
